Go to Be Scooped the ice cream shop with my friends after a hard practice.
Pick the place you feel is right. Go tour multiple campuses and get a feel of what it would be like. Ask yourself, do you want to wake up to this sight every morning? Do I want to walk on this campus? I believe visiting colleges is extremely important and can really impact which school is the right fit for you.
I chose Lees-McRae because I loved how I was able to get that hands on experience with the animals as quickly as possible. Anywhere else I would have had to wait till graduate school. I also love that the campus is small. The professors know my name and my hobbies, I’m not just a number in a classroom.
My freshman year, I walked into a theater production on campus, I walked out and there was so much snow on the group. I remember everyone running inside to get their coats and gloves. People ended up getting blowup mattresses to slide the hill on. It was a lot of fun!
