It snowed for the first time and everyone was out and playing and having a blast. It was something to bond over and it offered an option for small talk. Overall, it was amazing and I don't think you'd get the same experience in a bigger school.
I chose Lees-McRae because I love nature. I love the mountains and I love the area. Aesthetics aside, I was looking for a small school so I could get more of a homey feeling. With a small school comes professors who genuinely care and are willing to give you their time to help you. Another thing that comes with a small school, is everyone is pretty nice and it's easier to make tons of friends. Lees-Mcrae emobodies these elements and was the perfect choice for me.
I love to be outisde in general. The area itself is gorgeous and offers tons of opportunities for recreational activities. Whether you want to hike, fly fish, look for critters, admire the landscape, paddleboard, kayak, etc. The options feel limitless.
Ask yourself: Can you picture yourself here for 4 years? Will you be happy? Is this what you really want? If the answer is no to either, keep searching or find out more and see if your opinion changes.
