Mountain Day of Service because as you drive through Banner Elk you could see all the students spending what could've been a day off from classes serving their community instead.

My advice to students searching for a college...

Choose the college you feel most at home in. If the community isn't right for you then you won't enjoy your experience; find a place that you feel like you can be a part of.

Favorite thing about Lees-McRae....

The emphasis on community. The school makes sure everyone has a place and is able to make connections. Almost all the students know each other and the professors are the same way.

Why I chose Lees-McRae...

I choose Lees-McRae because of the Wildlife Biology program. The experiential learning was something that no other schools I was looking at could offer. I also fell in love with the area and the campus community.
