My favorite thing to do in the area is visit Tate-Evans Park where I like to walk, or sometimes run, the paths. I love seeing all the people walking their dogs and it's a really good place to go to relax.
My advice to students searching for a college is to consider not only the academic programs offered, but also the extracurricular activities that align with their interests. They should pay attention to the locations, activities, clubs, and experiences that are available, even if they don't relate to their major. It can be good to take a step away and just do something they enjoy.
Many different factors influenced my choice to attend Lees-McRae, but what really sealed my decision was how beautiful the campus is. The buildings all fit together perfectly, the scenery is breathtaking, and the mountains in the background pull everything together.
My favorite thing about Lees-McRae is the community. The small campus makes it easy to get to know classmates, professors, and staff personally, which creates a welcoming environment.
