My advice to students searching for a college...

Find a college that you will enjoy, where you feel called this place is your second home. If you are an athlete, try to find a school that you would enjoy being at, even if you weren't an athlete there.

Why I chose Lees-McRae...

I chose Lees-McRae because of its small size, the competitive level of athletics the conference and school offer, and the specialization and major I wanted to pursue.

Favorite thing to do in the area...

Lees-McRae is such a small town, and that is the beauty of it! I have enjoyed going into town and walking around it with friends, watching the live music that they have, getting ice cream, hanging out with friends at the park, and at Wildcat Lake. Even though the area may seem quiet, there is always something going on!

Favorite thing about Lees-McRae....

My favorite part has been getting to know the many friends I have made here at Lees-McRae. Being a transfer student, I was worried about not having any friends when I started this year. But, since I have gotten here, I have made so many close friends. Another thing is that even though the school is small, the student body is so diverse, and I am always meeting new people through their connections to other friends of mine!
