Why I chose Lees-McRae...

I chose Lees-McRae first for the soccer team but also for the area. The mountains are beautiful and have really opened my mind to the nature and possibilities that the mountains contain.

Most memorable Lees-McRae experience...

My most memorable Lees-McRae experience was hiking to the top of sugar mountain during preseason my sophomore year. It was such a huge bonding experience with my team and we did it first thing in the morning so the morning sun was beautiful!

My advice to students searching for a college...

My advice for students searching for a college is to not have tunnel vision about a specific school. Going in with an open mind is crucial when going to explore schools because you never know what you may find out about a school that you love!

Favorite thing about Lees-McRae....

My favorite thing about Lees-McRae is the people. I have met some of my best friends while being here at school and I wouldn’t change it for the world. We also have some of the sweetest and nicest professors here and they get to know you on a personal basis. One thing I remember specifically about my Chemistry professor my sophomore year was that he took a group of us to look for constellations off of the parkway and it was so amazing and such a good bonding moment with my friends!
