Being immersed in the mountains! It is a tight knit community and I am blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of it. I love how much I get to be outside and explore!
My advice to students searching for a college...
Find somewhere that feels like home. Somewhere that you are comfortable being yourself and finding out who you are!
Favorite thing to do in the area...
Go on hikes with my dog, and get to explore the beautiful scenery around campus and Banner Elk.

I love getting to be in nature and how rooted Lees-McRae is in the mountains and local culture.
