Favorite thing to do in the area...

Go skiing at Beech and Sugar mountain in the winter, and going swimming, climbing, and hiking in the summer with friends. I love to be able to help people in the community by working at Banner Elk Fire Rescue and Watauga Medics!

Favorite thing about Lees-McRae....

I love being at a small school that is a tight knit community! It is super easy to find great people with the same interests as you. I love running into all of my friends on tours and while walking to class!

My advice to students searching for a college...

Tour both big and small schools to get a feel of what learning environment is best for you. pick a school with lots of major options that you could see yourself doing. Don’t be afraid to go to a college where you don’t know anybody!

Why I chose Lees-McRae...

I chose Lees-McRae because of the Wilderness Medicine and Rescue program, and to be on the swim team!
