Favorite thing to do in the area...

My favorite thing to do in the area is go Hiking! Beech Mountain and Sugar Mountain are gorgeous places to hike. Even if you aren’t into hiking, you can still go walking and looking what’s on-top each of those!

Favorite thing about Lees-McRae....

My favorite thing about Lees-Mcrae is Wildcat Lake. Whenever I need to get out and go somewhere quiet and peaceful, I will always find myself there. I will also go there to do any homework because of the beautiful scenery!

My advice to students searching for a college...

My advice to students searching for a college is to be patient and have an open mind! Not all colleges are going to get back to you right away, as they have other duties to attend to first and other students will be applying so they have to read their applications too. I would also advise you to really look into doing some kind of tour for any school you’ve applied for. It really helps being able to know what is on campus, what they do, and how you can see yourself in each one.

Why I chose Lees-McRae...

I chose Lees-McRae because of how “home” It feels to me. No matter who you know, someone is always there for you. There are also plenty of opportunities to get involved on campus. They have daily activities that get students out and about, laughing and having fun with eachother.
